Authentic Latin inspired cuisine with a global attitude.
The cuisine and culture of Central Mexico mingle with a global attitude that infuses traditional favorites with a renewed vigor and introduces new flavors and dishes for a dining experience of both familiarity and fortune. Along those lines, our space invokes both authenticity and adventure and is truly as vibrant as our cuisine. Quite simply, Tinto is a feast of flavors for all senses, and one that is sure to delight both the palette and the person.
Rebecca Illingworth
Having grown up in the hospitality industry, Rebecca decided to open up her first restaurant in 2010, Bin Wine Bar in Saint Paul’s Lowertown. Born in Mexico City and armed with a desire to get back to her roots, Rebecca opened a second concept in 2015, Tinto Cocina & Cantina in the Lyn Lake neighborhood of Uptown, that reflected her love of Latin culture and cuisine. After receiving an abundance of accolades from the press about her food and authenticity at her Lake Street location, Rebecca has relocated Tinto to the vibrant 50th and Penn neighborhood of Minneapolis. The authenticity of flavors, culture, and cuisine is still the centerpiece of the new restaurant and features many of the original favorites while introducing new dishes and flavors.
